Can I take a baby stroller as a carry-on luggage?
Yes, strollers, depending on their size, can be transported either in the cabin or in the holds. We can transport a stroller or car seat if your are travelling with an infant or a child under 11 years for free, in addition to your free luggage allowance.

Bassinet of a folding baby stroller may be taken to the cabin, if its dimensions do not exceed 55х40х20cm. Please note that in order to carry such baby bassinets on board the aircraft, they have to be certified with a special safety label from FAA and JAA or according to the standards of FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards). Umbrella strollers are accepted as checked luggage.
A stroller without a child under 11 years old is transported in accordance with general terms and conditions.
Can I travel with sport equipment?
Yes, but some rules apply:
For Basic Fare: You can replace your allowed baggage with a sport equipment up to 10Kg. However, if your equipment exceeds baggage allowance the relevant fees must be paid.
For Flex Fares: You are entitled to one free Ski , Golf, and Bicycle equipment in addition to your baggage allowance and you are free to replace your allowed baggage with any sport equipment. However, your equipment must be less than 23Kg and less than 203cm (length + width + height). In case the limits are exceeded relevant fees must be paid.
A group of passengers are entitled to more than one pair of ski and more than one snowboard. The number of pairs of ski and snowboards cannot exceed the number of passengers in the group, at the same time the cover weight cannot exceed 23kgs. In this case the weight of transported equipment will be summarized. The total outside dimensions may not exceed 203cm (length + width + height). Any additional equipment should be paid accordingly.

    Where and how is a weapon carried on board the plane?
    During the flight the weapon is kept in a special locking metal box in an isolated cargo section of the aircraft.

    Please pack your weapon with care and consideration before you travel, satisfying the requirements of security and safety, using a specifically designed bag, case or cover. Weapons should not be loaded. Pack the ammunition in standard boxes stored separately from the weapon. Please note that according to IATA safety regulations, only 5kgs of ammunition can be transported by a passenger.

    At the departure airport, your weapon will be inspected by the Airline and the Customs Department in order to assure that your weapon complies with all the requirements and regulations.

    Can I transport firearms and/or ammunition?
    Yes, you can, if you have a permit to possess and carry the firearm. For each destination please check with our Customer Contact Center on 8000-8111 (free within Cyprus) for further information. For security reasons passengers may not carry any firearms, gas or weapons of any kind in the passenger cabin.

    You must register any weapons and fill in the necessary documents before checking in for the flight. We therefore recommend that you come to the airport no later than two hours before the flight departure. On Cyprus Airways flights the weight of permitted weapons counts towards your free luggage allowance.

    I am transporting a weapon. Where and how do i get it after arrival?
    After landing, weapons are returned from the special baggage conveyor belt located at the baggage reclaim hall of your arrival airport:

    • your right to possess and carry the weapon;
    • acceptance of the weapon for carriage on the flight;
    • your identity.
